HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

We were all so happy to be back, and visit with each other again at circle. There was much news to tell! Everyone then jumped right back into their activities. We chose the work we missed the most over break.

We have begun some winter poetry, even though we don't seem to be having winter. Various snowflake activities have been added. We played a listening game at circle. The listener wore a blindfold and had to guess who was singing the response to "Do you know the muffin man?" My goodness, we know each other well! Most children were able to recognize each voice.

Townes has been cutting out photos from Geographic that represent each phylum that has evolved on Earth. He became interested in the supercontinent, Pangaea, and the breaking apart of continents. He traced continents, colored and will now cut to make the jigsaw.
