WEEK OF APRIL 8-11

We have been practicing songs, poems and fingerplays for Parent's Day. We are all excited about showing our favorite works to our parents!

Botany: roots

We have rooted sweet potato and pussy willow. The roots have two functions: stability and nutrition.

Sarah dissects a root to examine under the microscope.

"Have a peek, Lukas."

We had to straighten out our gem jar. We counted out the right number of gems and made the equivalent with our golden beads. "We have 133 gems but we need 145. How can we figure out how many more we need?"

Tiger is cutting pineapple for the great, big fruit salad.

We made a new bird groups work. We can match the bird groups , names, and phrases describing... Older children have produced booklets of bird groups. (Townes)
